Very rare and important Louis XV writing desk, in ebony veneer with chased, pierced and giltbronze mounts. Stamped by B.V.R.B ( Bernard II Vanrisamburg). An almost identical desk figures in a painting by Louis Tocqué (1739), representing the young King Louis XV. Provenance : Kraemer Gallery Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
