A famous place

that welcomed the most renowned collectors

Since the very beginning, Galerie Kraemer has hosted the most prestigious collectors from France and from abroad: industrialists, businessmen as well as high fashion icons.

Prestigious French families were clients of the Gallery. Among them  were the Rothschild family, the Camondo family, as well as Comte Boni de Castellane, Jacques Doucet

The Gallery was also very popular amongst key foreign figures, such as JP Morgan, the Rockefellers, Calouste Gulbenkian, Henry E. Huntington, Madame Balsan – Consuelo Vanderbilt, Duchess of Marlborough-Churchill at Blenheim Castle, Marjorie Merriweather Post, the Hamilton Rices, the Sassoons, the Wideners and numerous collectors and aristocratic families from Central Europe and prerevolutionary Russia also paid regular visits to the Gallery to admire their art pieces.

Christian Dior, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Getty.

This is what J. Paul Getty, founder of the famous american museum, named after him, wrote about the great-grandfather of the younger generation.
A large number of objects from the Gallery are now housed at the J. Paul Getty Museum.

Throughout the years, the Gallery was visited by high-profile  guests such as Henry Ford II, Arturo López, Marcel Boussac, Jayne Wrightsman, Marie-Louise Carven-Grog, Jackie Kennedy, Aristotle Onassis, Hubert de Givenchy, Christian Dior, Fred Samuel, Giovanni Agnelli, Pierre Cardin, Pierre Bergé, Karl Lagerfeld, Stávros Niárchos and Guerlain, David-Weill, Thyssen-Bornemisza, Pigozzi, Dassault families, and more. To this day, we are honored to welcome high-profile collectors, who often own works of art of all kinds.
