Galerie Kraemer, a meeting place
for art connoisseurs

Visitors, both French and international: leading industrialists, financiers, and haute couture icons, as well as figures from the cultural, scientific, political, and of course artistic worlds. In earlier times, its renowned French clients included the Rothschild and Camondo families, Count Boni de Castellane, Jacques Doucet

The Gallery was also frequented by international personalities such as J.P. Morgan, the Rockefellers, Calouste Gulbenkian, Henry E. Huntington, Madame Balsan – Consuelo Vanderbilt, Duchess of Marlborough-Churchill, Condé M. Nast, Stávros Niárchos, Lee Radziwill, Marjorie Merriweather Post, J. Paul Getty, William Randolph Hearst, Joseph Duveen, Greta Garbo, the Hamilton Rices, the Sassoons, the Wideners, as well as numerous collectors and aristocratic families from Central Europe and pre-revolutionary Russia, who regularly came to admire and acquire furniture and works of art.
